We run a full calendar of open dressage competitions throughout the year, with classes from Intro through to Elementary, and even Dressage to Music! Our open Summer series of competitions runs from April to November with a Championship show in November. We also hold a charity show in December each year, the profits of which are donated to our nominated charity, the Kingly Vale branch of the RDA.
Throughout these competitions members’ scores and placings are tallied in our Members Points System, which are added up during the year. These are then put forward to earn prizes and trophies be presented at our AGM in October each year.
In addition to these individual competitions we send riding teams to compete against other riding clubs in regional competitions. These teams are made up of four horse and rider combinations, with the three best scores from each team being put forward. We can send either qualifying or non-qualifying teams to these competitions, so they are friendly, low-pressure and open to all members who would like to have a go. If you are interested in being in a dressage team please contact Anne Kendell at 07888479745 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note for all dressage competitions:
- Bridle numbers are to be worn
- Competitors’ riding hats must meet safety guidelines (teams require hats to be tagged at the competition venue)
- Test sheets available from British Dressage
- Competitions will be run under BRC rules
- All entrants must abide by BRC rules regarding horse’s vaccinations
